Biography

He is a consultant at MGM Healthcare’s department of medical oncology. He has undergone training in medical oncology from the prestigious Cancer institute, Adyar, Chennai. After completion of his post graduation in radiation oncology from JIPMER, a premier tertiary medical college, he subsequently worked in India’s premier cancer hospital, Tata Memorial Hospital and AIIMS, New Delhi as Senior resident. Following completion of his DM course he went on to work in the same institute as assistant professor. He has special interest in the treatment of solid malignancies like breast, gynaecological cancers (ovary, uterus, cervix), gastrointestinal cancers, thoracic malignancies and musculoskeletal malignancies. He was part of the disease management group for breast, gynaecological and gastrointestinal cancers at Cancer institute. He also has keen interest in the treatment of hematolymphoid malignancies like chronic leukaemias and lymphomas. He believes that comprehensive cancer care involves having holistic approach to the patient and he shows active participation in multispeciality tumour board discussions. He has expertise in procedures such as lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation, thoracocentesis, paracentesis, bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, peripheral 0and central line placements. He is also interested in academia and has publications in journals.

He also possesses good communication skills with his team and patients. He understands his patients and caters to their needs not just with his medical knowledge, but also with his compassion & empathy.
