SpyGlass Cholangioscopy

SpyGlass Cholangioscopy

Cholangioscopy is a non-invasive endoscopic method used for both direct visualisation and therapeutic intervention of the bile ducts. It is primarily used for the treatment of difficult bile duct stones and the evaluation of biliary strictures. The SpyGlass Direct Visualization System is the latest technology in cholangioscopy.

How is it performed?

  • Cholangioscopy using the SpyGlass cholangioscopy system can be performed by a single endoscopist.
  • The Spyscope access and delivery catheter is attached to the duodenoscope.
  • The procedure is always performed in conjunction with endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
