Adolescent vaccination is split into mandatory vaccines, catch-up vaccines and special vaccines. Mandatory vaccines are those that are compulsory at the adolescent age. Catch-up vaccines are those that have been missed during childhood. Special vaccines are given during special circumstances, like if the child gets a chronic illness and they are prone to certain diseases or if a new vaccine is introduced.
