Adult Congenital heart disease and Transplantation in Adults with congenital heart

20-30% of children who have had cardiac surgery , may need reintervention during adulthood to change conduits, correct residual or additional problems, to treat rhythm disturbances or need transplantation.  Our team working in close collaboration with the heart and lung transplant unit is in a vantage position to offer comprehensive care to adults with congenital heart disease including transplantation .  Our unit has the maximum experience in heart transplantation  of adults with single ventricle physiology and heart and lung transplantation for complex heart disease with severe pulmonary hypertension. Some of these adults can be temporarily palliated by using Atrial flow regulator for severe pulmonary artery hypertension or by using Palliative Atrial Switch or Senning’s procedure.
