A pioneer in the field of Interventional Cardiology.

Dr A B Gopalamurugan comes with over 20 years of experience in cutting edge heart treatments without open heart surgery. He underwent all his specialist and super specialist training at most prestigious institutions and served as an honorary consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Known for his largest experience in transcatheter valve therapy (Changing heart valves without surgery) in India, He has performed 14 of “First-in-India” heart treatments and 4 of “First-in-the world” heart treatments.

Dr A B Gopalamurugan is well known across the country for performing complex high risk treatments successfully through innovative technology and planning. To date he has introduced the maximum number of heart valve treatments in the form of TAVR procedure in India.
