Biography

Dr. B. Gowri Shankar is a neurologist specialising in epilepsy, presurgical evaluation of drug-resistant epilepsy, neurogenetics, and critical care neurology. He completed his DM in Neurology at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad, followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Epilepsy. He received his MBBS and MD in Pediatrics from JIPMER, Puducherry, earning multiple Gold Medals and recognition as the Best Student of Final Year MBBS. His expertise includes Stereo EEG (SEEG), neuromodulation, vagal nerve stimulation, and the management of adult and paediatric neurological disorders.
