Biography

Dr. Priya Premkumar is an accomplished transfusion medicine specialist with many years of experience. Her proficiency includes apheresis, peripheral blood stem cell harvesting, cryopreservation of stem cells, and blood bank leadership and management. Dr. Priya has spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives, including conducting Kerala’s first therapeutic plasma exchange in an ABO incompatible pediatric transplant patient, and pioneering Kerala’s first therapeutic platelet depletion in an MPN patient.

She also runs her YouTube channel, “The Red Gold Channel,” dedicated to educating the public about blood and stem cells. Dr. Priya actively contributes to the advancement of transfusion medicine, demonstrating her commitment through unparalleled expertise and dedication to providing exceptional care for patients.
