Dr Sundar Elayaperumal

Biography

Dr Sundar Elayaperumal is an accomplished Senior Consultant Microbiologist with extensive experience in laboratory management, research, and teaching. He is a procient in overseeing laboratory operations, quality control, equipment validation, and verication. He has 15 years of international experience in management of autoimmune disorders, infection and prevention control, mycology and allergy.

With a strong background in immunouorescence and expertise in various diagnostic platforms, including Bio-Rad and Euro immune platforms for validating patient results. Dr.Sundar has extensive experience in immunouorescence techniques and working with ELlSA, Leptospira Screening, Anaerobic Cultures, VIDAS automation, and other related methods. He has immense knowledge in administrative functions such as IQC, EQC and procient testing, verication and validation of equipment, Tests in Hematology, and Microbiology.

Dr Sundar has contributed signicantly to the establishment and reporting of COVID RT-PCR lab results. Dr Sundar is a proven expertise in leading infection control committees and attaining JCI Accreditation and CAP Accreditation. He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and played a vital role in establishing Autoimmune Lab in Burjeel Hospital and independently reporting the Anti –Nuclear Antibodies by Immunouorescence.

Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles, such as Laboratory Director and Chairman of Infection Control, overseeing all sections of the laboratory and ensuring quality control measures.
