
Dr. Vigneshwaran Kasi is a highly accomplished Anaesthesiologist with over 25 years of experience in anaesthesia, including 8 years of practice in the United Kingdom. He holds an MBBS from Tirunelveli Medical College, DA from Madurai Medical College, FRCA from the Royal College of Anaesthetists, London, and a Fellowship in Liver Transplant Anaesthesia from King’s College Hospital, London. Dr. Kasi has administered anaesthesia for over 750 liver transplant procedures, including complex paediatric transplants in infants under one year of age. He is a pioneer in introducing advanced cardiac monitoring techniques for liver transplantation in India and has played a key role in establishing liver transplant programs in Coimbatore, Salem, Trichy, Hosur, and Tirunelveli. A founder member of the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI), Dr. Kasi is a sought-after invited faculty at national and international conferences, particularly in the field of liver transplant anaesthesia. His professional memberships include the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Royal College of Anaesthetists (UK), International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS), LTSI, and the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. His areas of special interest include Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols for liver transplantation, multivisceral organ anaesthesia, robotic surgeries, and transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
