Enterocolitis ( NEC)

The closure of this structure can be tried by medicines initially. Children with renal problems need surgical closure. The surgical closure involves a small incision on the side and clipping the PDA. During the procedure, utmost care should be given to the two vital nerves that control breathing muscles and vocal chords to prevent bleeding.

Umbilical vein catheter embolization 

A condition where a small tube used to provide medicines in newborns gets inadvertently dislodged. It has been managed successfully in a 900gm baby using hybrid interventional and surgical means with a successful outcome.
