What is Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)?

• Acid reflux is a common medical problem, around 30% of the Indian population are having gastroesophageal reflux disease.

• A valve like muscle at the junction of stomach and food pipe allows food to enter the stomach and prevents backlash of stomach contents.

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when the valve loosens up and allows acid contents to move up into the esophagus. Acid Reflux may cause damage to the esophagus, pharynx, or respiratory tract.

Symptoms Of GERD :
