Gastrointestinal stromal tumor – Debakbal Bhel

Debakbal Bhel from Delhi went for a routine check-up where he got to know about tumorous cells in his digestive system. To confirm the problem, his daughter consulted Dr Arul Prakash S, Senior Consultant & Clinical Lead, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, MGM Healthcare, Chennai.

Mr Bhel came to MGM Healthcare, Chennai, where he underwent certain tests & was diagnosed with Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), a disease in which abnormal cells form in the tissues of the gastrointestinal tract.

Dr Arul Prakash & his team successfully performed a laparoscopic endoscopy to remove the tumour. Mr Bhel is thankful to Dr Arul Prakash & his team for his miraculous recovery. He also felt grateful to the entire team of MGM Healthcare for their support.
